About This Website

STATUS

As of April-26-2026, I am hard at work on this site. Much of the content is placeholder and there are a handful of bugs, but the nuts and bolts are mostly where I want them.

The navigation system is original. While arrows as page navigation is nothing new and swipe for mobile is standard, I worked hard on the menus which also indicate place when navigating with arrows or swipe, which I believe to be original. Please let me know if and how it breaks.

Lastly, the Chatbot isn't QUITE working, yet. Soon!

DIY or DIE!

While most people are looking forward to 'Web 3.0', I am rocking the 'Web 0.3.0' aesthetic! I live in the terminal, I do things myself, I have since the 80's.

Self-Hosted on Raspberry Pi 5

This website is entirely self-hosted, running on a Raspberry Pi 5 connected to a home fiber internet connection. The site is designed to be lightweight, serving static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files through nginx.

Static by Design

The website follows a single-page application pattern: all content lives in separate HTML files under /content/, and JavaScript dynamically loads sections into the main content area when you navigate. This keeps the site fast, simple, and easy to maintain.

AI Chatbot

The AI Recruiter chatbot in the footer runs on a separate an AMD Strix Halo laptop, also located at home. It powers a Qwen-3.6-35b-a3b model that has been trained on my resume, portfolio, and professional background. The chatbot is proxied through nginx to provide conversational answers about my experience, skills, and services. If you have questions which are not answered by my resume or portfolio, try asking the chatbot! If it doesn't know, it will send me your question to be added and answered to an invisble F.A.Q. for the Chatbot's training.
